New day, new things to worry about

I swear, I'm starting to sound like eeyore. No, I'm not feeling left out - but I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by life. I cry too much and too easily these days because of stress.

If anyone has any advice on how to get your kid to let go of their defiant streak at school, how to put together an affordable wedding reception, and how to deal with people who are going to be your family talking trash about you behind your back....PLEASE, throw it my direction.

Hey there gorgeous, long time no speak, great to see you life on track and getting married! WOW! I wish you all the luck in the world.

crew the trash talkers, fuck em! They aint worth the energy.

Beat the defiant child! (just kidding BTW) That is a tough one, I guess it depends on if you already think that he is getting enough attention (not calling you a bad mom, so don't go off on me :-) but usually kids are playing up because it is the way to get the attention they desire, you know bad attention is better than none. Maybe with all the effort for the wedding and worrying about the trash talkers, he is feeling left out a little?

On the wedding reception, we did ours really cheap. We went to a restuarant, and hired one of their rooms $5 a head, then we did the room decoration ourself, just using stuff from someone who rented it out. That meant we could spend most of the money on decent food. Keep the options down and they will usually do it cheaper and then tell them you can't afford what they want, and that you want a discount.

We did the whole thing for $40 a head, and then we chose to add the bar package for an additional $15 a head. I don't know how that fits with your range.

Good luck hun, enjoy the day whatever happens.
